SAUCONY / DICK POND FAST TRACK RACING TEAM (DPFTRT)
Ethics and Code of Conduct Policy

All DPFTRT club members and volunteers agree to:

  1. Maintain the highest standards of personal conduct.
  2. Be supportive and respectful to all sponsors, club members, athletes, officials, spectators, families, the media, the general public, volunteers and other organizations.
  3. Refrain from demeaning comments about the team sponsors, the club, fellow club members, other organizations, members of other organizations, or any other runners or the general public;
  4. Not discriminate against anyone on the basis of gender, race, place of origin, color, sexual orientation, religion, political beliefs, socioeconomic status, marital states, age or any other illegal or inappropriate considerations;
  5. Be committed to the sport of running free of any prohibited drugs or other related contraband;
  6. Refrain from use of abusive or vulgar language, or make racial, ethnic or gender related slurs or derogatory comments. Never yell, taunt, or threaten physical violence upon the sponsors, club members, athletes, officials, spectators, families, the media, the general public, volunteers and other organizations.
  7. Refrain from making unwanted sexual or physical contact with sponsors, club members, athletes, officials, spectators, families, the media, the general public, volunteers and other organizations.
  8. Always report violations of the Member Code of Conduct policy to DPFT ambassadors or other members who maintain a leadership position with the organization.
  9. Comply with all local and federal laws, rules and regulations;

In addition, all club members and volunteers agree to the following:

  1. Only express personal opinions and never represent yourself as a spokesperson for DPFTRT or any of its sponsors as a subject of any content you are creating. Always be clear and open that your views are your own and do not represent those of DPFTRT, its sponsors, or its membership.
  2. Will utilize best judgment when authoring and/or posting content onto the club’s web page, Facebook pages (public and private), Twitter page, Athlinks page, and any other past, present or future social media account to ensure that the content of the post is in good taste as well as in the best interests of the club, its sponsors, and all club members.

If found to be in violation with any of the above, a potential consequence may be the permanent revocation of membership and/or affiliation with DPFTRT.
